Your Pet in Surgery
All pets undergoing surgery at Bryan Area Animal Hospital receive pain medication
the day of surgery. Depending on the procedure performed some pets will also be
sent home with some pain medication. You are also welcome to request some pain medication
if you feel that your pet may require some additional pain meds. Pre-anesthetic
bloodwork is recommended for all pets undergoing surgery. This enables the doctors
to see how your pets internal organs are functioning prior to being anesthetized.
Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is required for all pets over the age of seven.
